A minor Amtrak derailment blocked some platforms at Chicago's Union Station early Monday morning.

Amtrak blamed "weather-related equipment issues" for canceling 16 trains that stop at Union Station Thursday.

Amtrak is looking to spruce things up for passengers passing through D.C.'s Union Station, including with the addition of a two-floor Metropolitan Lounge.
