The crown belonging to Napoleon III’s wife can be restored despite being crushed in the Louvre heist, the museum has said.

Empress Eugénie’s crown was left lying on the sidewalk after the Louvre Museum heist in October. The museum has now released pictures of the damage.

Authorities have so far not found the mastermind.

The famous Paris opera house known as the Opera Garnier is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. Emperor Napoleon III commissioned the building in the 1850s but would never see its completion.
