Ben Kramer's Apache 47 is indeed the only surviving original Apache 47 hull, bearing hull number 001 (constructed in 1986–87 as the debut model from Apache Powerboats, co-founded by Kramer and Bobby Saccenti). This V-bottom design, originally powered by triple 800-hp Keith Black engines, won the 1986 APBA National Offshore Championship and became a racing legend before Kramer's legal troubles led to its seizure and a mysterious disappearance until resurfacing at a 1995 auction.After restoration
