Dyneema (or UHMWPE) splicing. We have a “shrinkage” issue here… no, not related to temperature. When you splice 12 strand like this, by adding the material inside the line, we are expanding it, or making the woven line lay at a more perpendicular angle… kind of hard to explain - but it gets shorter! So you have to allow for this when splicing to accurate dimensions. Yes yes, I know it’s not a brummel or “locked” splice. It’ll be fine. It’s stronger than you think. Aren’t these @bluewaveusa rope
