The 1980s were an exciting decade for the MMB! In 1981, The band made a television appearance on the special "Bob Hope's All-Star Celebration Opening the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum" on October 22, 1981. In 1982, Super Bowl XVI was held at the Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan, and the MMB was in attendance. This week, we're highlighting MMB history in the 1920s! In 1925, the Nu Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi was founded at the University of Michigan. Kappa Kappa Psi is a co-ed honorary band fraternity dedicated to supporting music ensembles across the country through service and social events. The chapter continues to thrive today.
